November 2008 What you see is (not) what you get How do you sell products when it is not legal to show them (and this is not a trick question)? That’s exactly the problem Atlantic Airways faces when advertising tobacco brands in its in-flight tax-free catalogue. Faroe Island law restricts the depiction of tobacco products so the regional airline, amongst others, must resort to giving its audience an ‘outline’ of products on offer. Is this a case of 'smoke and mirrors'?
