Self-made nation

If a nation can be a brand, and an architectural structure a 'sub-brand' (The Eiffel Tower?) can one man make both from scratch with drfit wood (Ladonia and 'Nimis') and proclaim them to be a sovereign state? Wikipedia provides some of the story of Ladonia - the micro-nation in the South of Sweden. An even more exciting mirco-nation saga is that of Sealand.
