December 2008 Adult swaddling There is an odd trend connecting many successful adult consumer product concepts; one that is more childish than we would like to admit. Strangely, adults love being treated like babies. We slurp from baby bottle-like takeaway coffee cups (even when having coffee 'in'). We curl-up in 'cocoon' style aircraft seats (just like baby cots). We drool over candy-like digital interfaces. We nuzzle-up inside hooded, puffy jackets. We wear inside shoes outside. What next?
